This picture was taken on Christmas Eve, probably around noon (when we had time to finally take a breath). Look at how many people there are. 5 folks. A couple more that aren’t in the frame. This is what we are. This tiny staff of amazing, proud, caring human beings who show up every day and produce so much AMAZING food-i swear if you realized the scope of what they do, you would be stunned. As we see the 10 year challenge and all that hoo-ha, we look back on the last 10 years at CF&K to reflect. The place has changed so much, succeeded in ways we never even imagined....yet it all comes back to one thing. The people who work here do what they love-no fool is in this particular business for the money-they show up every day to showcase dishes that support local ingredients and cook their hearts out so you don’t have to. This place has become so much to so many and for that we’re deeply appreciative. Next time you’re in, catch a cooks’ eye and give ‘em a thank you wink. They are the glue that holds the place together, now and always. Here’s to another 10. Maybe by then we’ll figure out how to make people understand that you can’t eat chalkboard take out in the dining room 😂
